Where do we go from here?

Where do we go from here? is a work forged from the unease I felt after the 2016 election. A serious, long term personal relationship contradicted the uncertainty felt in Trump's first yearof office. Together my partner and I spent time defining our ideas on nationalism, gentrification, capitalism, habitation, and tradition. Much of this time is spent debating (or waffling) on the choices we can make now to reach our long term goals... or if it is even possible to achieve long term goals with (or without) the unpredictable influence of outside forces. These uncertainties create a paralysis that has us standing still, checking on the world from inside our safe space wondering...

What is going to happen next? Is it safe out there? Where do we go from here?

Viewers may step into these tiny security booth shelters and lookout into the world. Standing back to back, participants visually monitor their environment as the sound of a radio can be heard scanning for a clear signal. A tin can phone functions as a secure, but playful way to communicate between partners.
