Trust is an isolation chamber that can be lowered onto a participant by a second participant. The ominous clicking of the winch slowly drops the chamber, dividing the participant and the outside world. From the inside the fabric has a translucency that allows the isolated individual a distorted view of what is transpiring outside of the chamber. This creates an unexpected tension in the spectators who don’t know what the isolated individual is doing. This tension is broken if the participant pushes against the fabric, revealing themselves, as it stretches and conforms to their figure. As the climate gets stuffier within the chamber, the isolated individual will realize that what control they have still will not free them. They must rely on someone else.
